Things you must know about paint before you buy your next home!July 29, 2015
The best time of year to paint the inside of your home is anytime of year. There are reasons you may want to wait until late fall or winter.
The demand for painting contractors is very high during the summer months as we are working on exterior projects. With all of the hail storms we have experienced in the past few years the supply of work and demand for our services has increased. If you are wanting to have interior painting done during the summer be prepared to have fewer painting contractors to choose from and be ready to pay the summer price tag.
As the weather starts to cool off so does the opportunity to paint outside. This is a great time to freshen up the inside of your house with a fresh coat of paint or a new color scheme. It could be as simple as an accent wall. We can work with you to help choose the colors that will reflect your furnishings, tastes and personality. No need to go through a long winter staring at depressing walls that don’t reflect you and your family. Have us come out before the Holidays so you can be the envy of your family and friends when you entertain.
The majority of paints today are low VOC (volatile organic compound) with options of no VOC paints too. The lingering pungent paint smell from the solvents in the paint are not like they used to be. There is no need to sleep in a hotel or open all the windows to deal with the smell. I can count on one hand the amount of complaints I have had over the last five years from the smell of the paints we use.
The last reason to get your interior painting done during the winter is it will allow you to have more time and money for all the never ending summer projects.
