Last fall we had Matt Jansen, “Matt the Painter”, paint the interior of our home, and we couldn’t be more pleased. Although we’d made some preliminary decisions on colors Matt was very helpful in finalizing our color decisions as well. Some colors that look good in pictures or little color swatches from the paint store don’t look the same as the paint on the wall, so his help was invaluable. The painting was done in a professional and timely manner, no messes were left, and done more quickly than the estimated time as well. The disruption was minimal, the cost was reasonable, and almost best of all we didn’t have to do the painting.

To anyone seeking a superior, professional painter: Here’s our story. In late October, we began the search for a perfectionist, trustworthy, super-duper painter for a couple rooms in our home. After a couple of disappointing contacts, we called Matt the Painter. Matt was at our home within 24 hours to discuss what we wanted painted and how we’d like the job done. He returned the next day with a professional, complete estimate; walking through the house explaining in detail every thing to be done, including minor wall repairs and removal of wallpaper, answering all questions honestly and thoroughly. Matt returned a third time to once again walk through the house to be certain he and we understood all aspects of the project. Matt was always on time – a rarity we’ve found – working efficiently and always making certain we were not inconvenienced in the process. Despite the poor timing – inside painting during the holidays – Matt and his loyal assistant, worked within our schedules, quickly, spotlessly, thoroughly, and we couldn’t be happier with his results. In fact, he did such an excellent job, the two-room job morphed into nearly the entire house! Matt did a first-rate job painting our house. He had to do some difficult color and texture matching throughout the house-flawless! Besides being a talented painter, he was a pleasure to have around the house.

Matt painted both my kitchen and downstairs living room. I have an old house; it was built in 1938. It is difficult to paint some of the walls and make it look good. Matt made them look brand new. I love them. He does a GREAT job, I highly recommend him.
